The Daytona 675 is widely regarded as the best-handling middleweight sports bike of its era, and the 2013 update was the biggest change since the original. The 675cc inline triple produces 126bhp at 12,500rpm with 55lb-ft of torque, and it is the engine that defines the bike. It has the midrange of a twin and the top end of a four, with a soundtrack no inline four can match, and it pulls cleanly from low revs rather than demanding to be screamed everywhere.
Fully adjustable KYB big piston forks and a fully adjustable KYB rear shock, twin 310mm front discs with four-piston Nissin radial calipers, and a slipper clutch and switchable ABS as standard. At 184kg with an 820mm seat it is light, narrow and flickable, and it carries far more corner speed than the numbers suggest.
