This brand new Lexmoto R66+ 125 is a full-size cruiser with a long, low stance that gives it real big-bike presence. It has a stretched wheelbase, raked-out forks and a deep, sculpted seat. The Plus model also gets bolder styling and a cleaner finish than the standard R66. It’s learner-legal on a CBT or A1 licence.

Power comes from an air-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke engine producing 9.0 kW (12 bhp) at 9,500 rpm and 9.5 Nm of torque. It drives through a five-speed manual gearbox and chain to a top speed of 66 mph. That’s plenty for commuting and A-road riding, and the relaxed cruiser riding position makes longer journeys comfortable.

The 680 mm seat height is one of the lowest in the Lexmoto range. Most riders can get both feet flat on the ground, which builds confidence at junctions and when manoeuvring. LED indicators and an LED tail light make sure other road users see you without spoiling the classic look.

Running costs are very low. Lexmoto quotes 117 mpg, and the 13-litre tank gives a long range between fills. Road tax is £27 a year and servicing is around £140 a year. It comes with a two-year warranty and offers excellent value for a cruiser with this much road presence.
