DESCRIPTION

The 2021 Monster was the biggest reinvention in the model's history. Ducati dropped the trellis frame for an aluminium front frame section taken straight from the Panigale V4 superbike, which cut 18kg off the previous 821. The result is a 166kg naked that turns like something far smaller, yet stays composed at speed without needing a steering damper.
Power comes from the 937cc Testastretta V-twin, producing 109bhp and 69lb-ft of torque. It is the same engine used in the SuperSport, Multistrada 950 and Hypermotard 950, all of which score consistently high with owners for reliability. Torque is the standout, and with that weight saving the bike drives out of corners on a whiff of throttle and revs hard to the limiter. This is the Plus variant, which adds the flyscreen and rear seat cowl as standard fitment, both of which would cost well over £300 to add afterwards. Equipment is comprehensive: a 4.3 inch colour TFT dash with Panigale-derived graphics, ride-by-wire with three riding modes, an IMU running cornering ABS, eight-stage traction control, a hydraulic clutch and a quickshifter as standard. Braking is by twin 320mm discs with four-piston calipers, on 43mm upside-down forks with a preload-adjustable monoshock. The bars sit 70mm closer to the rider than the old Monsters with the pegs lower, making it comfortable and easy to manoeuvre at low speed, with an 820mm seat height. Furthermore this Monster features Leo Vince exhaust really opening up that engine note, Ducati Quickshifter, Ducati Performance tail tidy, Blade mirrors, adjustable levers, paddock stand bobbins, service history comprising of three services with its fourth due, the Desmo (Valve service) is due at 18,000 miles and the belts comes due this year also (5 year interval) these will both be carried out for the new owner at the asking price.
