The Mash Fifty brings the fun back to moped riding, with a 49cc four-stroke single running fuel injection — a rarity at this end of the market that gives smooth acceleration, easy electric starting (with kick-start backup) and good fuel economy from the 11-litre tank.

This one is effectively a brand new bike. We supplied it, then bought it back from the original customer shortly afterwards, so it is in as-new condition, it carries the balance of the Mash 2-year manufacturer’s warranty, and being already registered there is no on-the-road fee to pay. We will also carry out the first service free of charge if the bike is brought back to us, saving that cost too.

Retro is the whole point here. Tall 18-inch spoked wheels front and rear, classic proportions and period styling give it the look of a small classic motorcycle rather than a modern moped, and both colour options come with black wheels. A range of accessories can be fitted to make it your own.

Braking comes from a 220mm front disc with a drum at the rear, and at 105kg with a low 780mm saddle height it’s light, unintimidating and easy to manage — ideal as a first bike at 16 or as a stylish runaround for older riders who want something different.
