It's genuinely quick for the class, yet returns fuel economy well over 100mpg, giving a huge range from the 11-litre tank. Handling is where it really shines. The aluminium twin-spar frame and well-damped suspension make it brilliantly flickable in town and properly capable on B-roads, with plenty of ground clearance for having fun in the corners. Bosch ABS on petal discs front and rear provides confident, unobtrusive stopping power. At just 133kg with a low 785mm seat height and an ultra-light clutch, it's an easy, confidence-inspiring bike for newer riders, while insurance sits in a low group and road tax is pennies.
