The GSR750 features a 749cc inline four-cylinder engine that originally debuted in Suzuki's 2005 GSX-R750. However, for the GSR750, the engine underwent significant modifications to enhance its low to midrange performance and torque, albeit sacrificing some top-end power. These modifications included adjustments to the cam profiles, valves, inlet and exhaust ports, as well as the addition of iridium spark plugs in the cylinder head to improve ignition.
As a result, the GSR750 produces a quoted 105 horsepower and 59 foot-pounds of torque. While this power output is sufficient to provide an enjoyable and engaging riding experience, it may be considered slightly lower than its direct competition in the middleweight naked bike segment. Other bikes in its class may offer more power and torque, potentially providing a more thrilling performance. However, it's worth noting that power and performance aren't the only factors to consider when evaluating a motorcycle, as factors like handling, comfort, and overall riding experience also play important roles in determining a bike's appeal.
