Under the race-inspired bodywork is a genuinely unusual engine for the class — a 50cc four-stroke single with a double overhead cam, four-valve head that revs quickly and pulls hard for a moped, making 4.5 bhp at 10,000 rpm. Bosch electronic fuel injection means it starts on the button in all conditions and meets Euro 5, while the five-speed manual gearbox gives proper gears to learn on.
The chassis is bigger-bike stuff scaled down: inverted front forks, a rear monoshock and hydraulic disc brakes at both ends, riding on 17-inch aluminium rims with road tyres for real grip on tarmac.
At 103kg dry with a 790mm seat height it's light and manageable for younger riders, and the 6-litre tank goes a long way on a four-stroke 50 — a sensible, cheap-to-run first bike that still looks the part.
